Neighborhoods We Proudly Serve

People ask us pretty often whether we actually cover their street, and the honest answer is: probably, yes. We’ve spent years building out routes across Kingston, and at this point we’re running crews through ten different neighborhoods every storm — from the retail corridor near Cataraqui Centre to the long rural driveways out in Glenburnie.

Every neighborhood on this list gets a full page below with more detail on what we handle there and what makes that particular area a little different. If you just want the quick version, here it is.

Where we work

Cataraqui — High foot traffic near the mall means fast refreeze on commercial lots. We run second-pass checks here instead of a single clearing and calling it done.

Bayridge — School zones and cul-de-sacs that city plows tend to deprioritize. We build early-morning routes around the school run specifically.

Amherstview — Lakeshore wind means drifts you won’t see coming from the road. We check for accumulation, not just surface snowfall.

Rideau Heights — Tighter streets mean the classic “plow re-buries your driveway” problem. We time apron clearing around the city’s final pass.

Kingscourt — Mature trees and long-term residents who’ve been burned by unreliable contractors before. We keep the same crew on these routes when we can.

Downtown Kingston — Road salt tracking keeps sidewalks wet and slippery even after clearing. We treat downtown properties as ongoing maintenance, not one-and-done.

Westbrook — Older, narrower driveways near mature trees, plus denser newer development in Westbrook Heights. We adjust technique block by block.

Portsmouth Village — Lakeside freeze-thaw cycling creates black ice on days with no fresh snow at all. We run proactive salting here, not just post-storm.

Polson Park — A straightforward residential neighborhood that doesn’t get skipped just because it’s smaller than our other routes.

Glenburnie — Rural-scale properties and long driveways that need more time per visit, not a rushed pass built for a city lot.

We’re adding coverage most seasons, and “we don’t service that street” is sometimes just “we haven’t been asked yet.” If your neighborhood isn’t listed here, reach out and tell us where you are — there’s a decent chance we can make it work, especially if you’re near one of the areas above.

One standard, every neighborhood

The details change block to block — wind off the lake in Amherstview, tree cover in Kingscourt, salt tracking downtown, long driveways in Glenburnie — but what you get from us doesn’t. We show up when we say we will, we clear the job properly, and we don’t treat a smaller street as less important than a bigger contract.
